Navigating through all of the beauty products available to us today can be overwhelming. I will share with you a few of my favorites. Most of these, I have used for an extended amount of time, but I am always trying new products . I am picky and I love when I find a product that noticeably works great . All of these tips are based on my own personal experience and I am not promoting or affiliated to anything mentioned on this page. Please keep in mind that we are all different, and what works great for one person may not work for someone else.

Make-up / Foundation & Mascara

I have found two products that I like that are quick and easy. Both are a pressed powder foundation with one-step application with a brush or sponge that is included with the compact. The first one is Pur, 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make-up - $25.00. I have used this for a couple of years and it is great, especially in the spring and summer, or anytime that you want a light even coverage. It comes with a sponge but I use their brush and you simply swish it in the compact and apply to your face, and you are done. I do this starting at the forehead at the hairline, then eyes, nose, cheeks, and then down to jaw, always in a downward direction.

The other foundation is Tarte Clay Pressed Mineral Compact  –  $30.00. Tarte is newer to me, but I do like it. It comes with a sponge and I do the same application with it, swish, apply to face and you are done. This is slightly thicker than Pur and feels a touch softer. It took me a couple of days for me to decide if I really liked it.

They both even out your skin tone, but without a heavy feel or look. I have used other powders with a two part application, but like these  better and there is only one product to buy. I do recommend using a light daily moisturizer before applying the foundation, but I recommend doing that whether you wear make-up or not. I have not used a liquid foundation plus a powder compact in years, and don’t know if I could ever go back.

The BEST Mascara I have ever used – Kind of pricey, but lasts a long time -Grande Mascara – $25 - lengthens, thickens, and stays soft and pliable to the touch. It washes off easily and completely, yet does not smudge or flake through out the day. Love it!

Haircare products take a lot of trial and error, most often based on the texture of your hair and the climate where you live. Your hairstylist should be able to help you.

Some of my favorites are Kenra Mousse Volume 17 for styling, to add texture, hold and fullness without feeling stiff or sticky.

Aquage Silkening Treatment is a serum that makes your hair shiny and feel silky without weighing it down. I never style hair without it!

Kuene Minerals  Defining Hairspray holds hair in place without stiffness or a sticky feel!

Razor for women

Venus Embrace by Gillette. Almost no worries about getting cut. This razor hugs your skin and glides across. You just have to try it, to see the difference. I recommend shaving everyday or at the least, every other day.

Where you shop for clothes will often depend on your Fashion Personality!

I like to shop at T J Maxx and Marshalls, as well as Steinmart and some local boutiques . These stores usually have designer clothes at great prices and some unique pieces as well. Many people have told me that they get lost in these stores and are intimidated by the selection. Once you learn about your Fashion Personality, your best Colors, and how to dress for your body type, you will save time and money, and feel more confident in your choices, regardless of where you shop!
